Giving City University’s Magazine students an introduction to digital journalism

Task: MA Magazine students wanted a digital presence for their magazine. The web team also needed help and guidance to develop a “digital first” mentality.
Solution: Worked closely with each student cohort to help them customise and tailor the site each year. Using the content governance plugin Editflow to enable a strong editorial workflow. Integrated other digital journalism approaches lecturing in social media, SEO and data journalism. All sessions were practice-based as students integrated their learning into how the website was structured.
